Homosexuals Still Do Not Repent And Continue In Their Hatred Of God

On Sunday, about 24 homosexuals paraded through Bourbon Street in New Orleans. They were partying and havin a good time while their fellow citizens suffered. They also anounced that their "Southern Decadence" would continue tomorrow. How defiant they are even after God poured His wrath upon them. They still shake there fists, spit in His face and continue in their sin. Oh, may God have mercy on these people and open their hearts to be able to respond to the Gospel. Let us pray for these people for their darkened minds cause them to be blind to what they are doing. May the Light of Jesus Christ reveal to them their sin and may He grant them repentance.

Sir, this is a free country, and you are allowed to speak freely, and I value your opinion on the homosexual celebration in New Orleans simply because you too are human, created by God. However, I must ask you this question. Do you really feel it is necessary to breach good taste to crucify a group of people who, in all honesty, don't need our criticism but our love? I think God loves them too, you know. And, dear sir, I don't think it was too long ago that you, too, were shaking your fists, "spitting in His face," with your own sins. Because the Bible says that all have sinned. I'm not asking you to abandon your opinion. I am asking you to abstain from throwing stones. Not for my sake, not for their sake, but to be obedient to the love of God, which took the fires of hell willingly for their sakes. Jesus did not throw stones, neither in His life or in His death.

don't be rediculous.
do you use leviticus to justify your hatetred of gays?
if so, do you eat shrimp? Lobster?
do you look at your wife when she's on her period?
have you killed anyone lately for planting their crops wrong?

All sins are created equal in the eyes of God. Everyone sins, even you, therefore you are equal to homosexuals, don't act superior. Your hateful words will never help the Christian religion and help those who still need to find the Lord, but just turn them away. In order to help people you need to have a better understanding of what the Lord asks of us. Quit being self rightous. You make me sick.

1., i can't help but answer to the first anonymous even though I don't this person will come back (though I hope they do).
2. Thank you for your calm response, first anonymous.
3. "Do you really feel it is necessary to breach good taste to crucify a group of people who, in all honesty, don't need our criticism but our love?"
A.What part of my post was not in good taste?
B.Please define "crucify" in the context of your question and
C.how did I "crucify" this "group?"
D.Is criticism always devoid of love and
F.if so, where in my post was love lacking?
4.I never suggested I do not sin against God.
5. Is not asking for the mercy of God for sinners a loving thing to do? Is praying for the salvation of sinners a loving thing to do?

6. I pray and hope anonymous will come back and answer these questions. (it would be rare, but I pray that he/she would)

I'm the same person as the first anonymous. And I bookmarked your site to come back to reply to your reply. Any good discussion takes two. I'll answer in the order you posted your questions.

A.: The part that I personally found in bad taste was the combination of the tone of the first portion of the post plus the fact that not even two weeks have passed since that horrible destruction in New Orleans and surrounding areas. It is too soon to declare a hurricane as punishment for the wicked. Living in Tampa, which was devistated by three hurricanes in a short period of time, and being told that hurricanes are "divine appointed judgement on sinners" goes against what I know of God's character. (Gen. 18:23-32)

B. and C.:Crucify is meant as a figure of speech, and the word is almost too strong for the circumstances, but I meant that by your extremely strong words you were further alienating a group of people we are trying to draw to God, not push away.

D. Criticism, like every other semantic art, is always viewed with perspective, and everyone has a different one. No, it is not always devoid of love, but very often it is seen as devoid of love.

E. Most of the words have love backing them, except for the inflammatory words posted midway. Specifically the portions about spitting in the face of God. Sure, we know we've all done it, but would now be an appropriate time to say it and rip open old wounds while new ones are still healing? If not loveless, I believe your choice of words are at least poorly thought out.

4. You never did say that you were not sinless. However, assuming you have read your Bible well, did Jesus not ask of the Pharisees (and indeed all of us) to have the sinless cast the first stone? By using the inflammatory words instead of ones urging repentance, I view that from my perspective as throwing stones. And, I'm willing to bet, so will the entire homosexual community. Not that you are, but that it looks like you are.

5. On the contrary, it is the one part which I actually am in agreement with you. Only thing is, from the same perspective as before, it looks a lot like rhetoric. Instead of criticism, I simply offer a suggestion: Step away from the "pulpit-prayers" and be a little more real. You might get taken seriously.

Last, I commend you. Your reply to my comment shows that you are more than just a PA system for Christian (or Calvinist) rhetoric. You went to the trouble to calmly ask me for clarification, even though you doubted my return (which was wise in any case, most wouldn't have.) I apologize if I myself was a bit inflammatory. This whole thing is just still too fresh, and I may have been angry. Either way, though, I hope that this discussion enlightens you as much as it has me.

feel free to email me if you wish to continue the discussion.

if god hates the gays so much, why didn't he point a couple of hurricanes towards key west?

It's sort strange that you ask that question. I always wondered why God would keep the evil in this world but he has his reasons, I don't. We can say the same for Terrorist as well in this instance. Why would God keep the Terrorist to do what they desire to do in this world? Consequently, we don't have any answer to your question. :( All I can say though is that God is angry at the sinners every day, and for us to even be living in this world is just a matter of how much God extends his Grace on us when we constantly slap his face.

you know what I think is a slap in the face to god? a president that claims to be a christian, but invades a sovereign nation and kills tens of thousands of innocent people.
and to make it worse, he lies about the reasons that we need to do it.
and as the governor of texes, he put to death hundreds of people, many of which could have been innocent, and several who were borderline retarded.

WE are terrorists in a lot of people's minds.

God isn't worried about a bunch of gay people, I would think that God would be worried about those in power that make it worse for ordinary folks to be able to live good lives. And the people making it worse every day for ordinary citizens make up the Bush administration.

Did God pour his wrath upon the poor, African American people too? What did they do?

I feel badly you think God would single out any type of people and try to destroy them. These aren't biblical times.

Honey these are Biblical times and the wrath of God is just beginning, not just on gays, but on each and every living soul on the earth who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
Quick anecdotes, snappy comebacks, cute screen names are not going to save any one from the great and awesome day of the Lord.

Aren't we all just so glad that we have a loving God that will forgive us AND the homosexuals? I'm not going to stand for or against anything mentioned thus far...but to cast stones at the author of this blog would be just as much as a "sin" as anything else mentioned above.

Lets not forget that gigantic log sticking out of our eyes.
